before
it flies away,
a needle-
beaked
amphetamine
hovering
outside
the window
in a dazzle
of wings,
a sort of
blurry
stillness,
practically
silence,
from another
world,
the blue
café
where
Van Gogh
decided
to cut off
his ear.
